[Jolly Sports News] A big-name NBA team might be willing to take a chance on Zion Williamson.

According to reports, the Golden State Warriors have identified the New Orleans Pelicans star as a potential trade target ahead of the Feb. 6 deadline. With Steph Curry carrying a heavy load, Golden State is reportedly prioritizing adding an All-Star-caliber player to help their aging core.

Williamson, 24, is in the second year of a five-year, $197 million contract that includes team-friendly protections. Now healthy after a hamstring injury, he is averaging 23.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.

Reports have also suggested that the Pelicans have been shopping the former No. 1 pick, with Williamson himself appearing increasingly frustrated with the organization.

At 24-24 and sitting 11th in the West, the Warriors could structure a deal around Andrew Wiggins’ contract and a younger asset like Moses Moody to make a trade feasible.

However, Golden State is reportedly exploring multiple avenues for roster upgrades, including a surprising pursuit of another NBA superstar.
