[Jolly Sports News] At the New Orleans Pelicans Media Day on Monday, Zion Williamson faced expected questions about his fitness and offseason weight loss.
However, he was caught off guard by a question about his workout playlist, specifically why Kendrick Lamar wasn’t featured. Puzzled by the inquiry, Zion asked which tracks the reporter was referring to, with the reporter suggesting “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us.”
Williamson defended his music choices, respecting Lamar but expressing surprise at needing to justify his playlist. He wrapped up the light-hearted exchange and later revealed his diverse workout mix, including classic albums like Notorious B.I.G.’s *Ready to Die* and Nas’ *Illmatic*.
He also credited New Orleans rapper Currensy as a significant influence in his training playlist, connecting his music choices to both his roots and hip-hop legends.
