With the crisis out of the way, the Hotshots will try to get back on track and surpass the 50% winning rate again. In the 7:30 match, they will face Terrafirma Dyip, who are currently in poor form and have lost six games.
Due to FIBA’s unfinished customs clearance, the Hotshots had to play with an all-Philippine lineup in the road match against the Meralco Bolts last Saturday, which ended with a 74-82 loss, ending their run to the PBA Governors’ Cup in Panabo. The loss dropped Magnolia to 3-3, tied with NorthPort Batang Pier for third place in Group A behind leaders TNT Tropang Giga (5-1) and Meralco (5-1).
Before Panabo’s loss, the Hotshots had won two games in a row with former foreign aid Glenn Robinson III and were in good shape.
