[Jolly Sports News] Victor Wembanyama nearly turned into the NBA’s tallest enforcer on Wednesday night.

During the third quarter of the San Antonio Spurs’ matchup against the LA Clippers, Wembanyama lost his cool after a hard collision. The 7-foot-3 center was knocked down by Clippers big man Ivica Zubac while running into position on a Spurs shot attempt.

After landing near the San Antonio bench, Wembanyama quickly sprang up and made a beeline for Zubac with clear frustration.

Before he could reach his target, Spurs interim coach Mitch Johnson and a security staffer intervened, preventing the situation from escalating. No technical foul was assessed, and play resumed following a timeout.

In the end, the Clippers secured a 128-116 win behind Zubac’s dominant 21-point, 22-rebound performance, edging out Wembanyama’s 23-point, 12-rebound effort. Despite their physical battle throughout the game, the two centers were later seen exchanging handshakes and making peace.

It was an intense night across the NBA, as another game also saw tempers flare over a box-out incident that led to an ejection.
