[Saba Sports News] Tyrese Haliburton may be calling his shot before tip-off.

The Indiana Pacers star made headlines with his bold pregame outfit ahead of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks on Saturday. Haliburton arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis dressed head-to-toe in all black — including his coat, shirt, pants, shoes, sunglasses, and even a black bag.

The message seemed clear: black is the color of funerals, and with the Pacers leading the series 3-2, they have a chance to eliminate the Knicks and end their season on home court.

Haliburton has been electric for much of the series, including a dominant Game 4 performance where he posted a 32-point, 12-assist, 15-rebound triple-double with zero turnovers in a 130-121 Pacers win. But in Game 5, he struggled, finishing with just 8 points on 2-of-7 shooting as Indiana fell 111-94.

After that loss, Haliburton vowed, “I’ll be better in Game 6.” His pregame look suggests he’s ready to back that up — though it’s not without risk. Another Eastern Conference team once wore all black before a playoff elimination game, only to get embarrassed. Haliburton and the Pacers will be hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.
