[Saba Sports News] Tre Johnson came dressed for the 2025 NBA Draft—well, at least from the waist up.
The former Texas Longhorns star went viral on Wednesday night thanks to his bold and unusual outfit choice. Johnson rocked a jacket and tie paired with… a matching set of shorts.
When the Washington Wizards selected him No. 6 overall, Johnson’s full outfit was on display as he posed with commissioner Adam Silver—and social media wasted no time roasting the look.
Fans lit up the internet with jokes about the 19-year-old’s attire, especially his basic white basketball socks that stood out in place of dress socks.
It was a gutsy choice for the biggest night of his basketball life.
Wizards fans will be hoping his on-court skills outshine his fashion statements. Johnson averaged 19.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists as a freshman at Texas, earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors.
On the bright side, at least Johnson’s outfit wasn’t quite as outrageous as Gradey Dick’s unforgettable draft suit a couple years ago.
