[Saba Sports News] The Phoenix Suns recently made waves by hiring former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott as their new head coach, just weeks after parting ways with Mike Budenholzer following a disappointing season.

With the coaching search now behind them, the Suns are turning their attention to the real issue — the roster. Last season made it clear that the star trio of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker isn’t enough to contend in today’s NBA, and insiders believe at least one of those players could be on the move.

According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, the situation with Bradley Beal is especially dire.

“They do NOT want him back. But he is untradable, and if he doesn’t agree to a buyout, they may be stuck with him,” Gambadoro posted on X (formerly Twitter). “One of the questions they asked coaching candidates was what they’d do with Beal. They 100% don’t want him and are looking for a way out.”

Beal’s contract includes a rare no-trade clause — one of only two active in the entire NBA — which he received from the Washington Wizards before being traded to Phoenix. That clause gives him the power to veto any potential deal, significantly limiting the Suns’ options.

Meanwhile, Phoenix is also expected to field trade calls for Durant. Since acquiring him in early 2023, the Suns have managed just one playoff series win. A breakup of the current core and a rebuild around Devin Booker appears to be on the table.

While Durant is likely to draw strong interest from other teams, Beal’s value is far less clear. With limited flexibility, the Suns face a challenging road ahead in trying to reshape their roster.
