[Jolly Sports News] Steph Curry has entered an elite group with his latest contract extension.
Curry agreed to a 1-year, $62.6 million extension with the Golden State Warriors, keeping him with the team through the 2026-2027 season. This significant deal pushes Curry’s career earnings to $532.67 million, making him just the fourth NBA player to surpass $500 million in total earnings, alongside LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Paul George.
It’s important to note that this figure only includes salary, not endorsements. While Curry hasn’t yet received the full $500 million, he is guaranteed to exceed that amount based on his contracts. So far, Curry has earned $354.7 million in his NBA career.
Curry still has two years remaining on the 4-year, $215 million extension he signed in 2021, with the new $62.6 million extension kicking in afterward. This deal ensures Curry will remain with the Warriors through his age-38 season. Last season, Curry averaged 26.4 points per game, shooting 40.8 percent from three, and helped Team USA win gold at the Paris Olympics.
