[Saba Sports News] Interviewing one of the NBA’s tallest players requires some creative adjustments.

Phoenix Suns sideline reporter Amanda Pflugrad went viral after Friday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans for her unique approach to interviewing Suns big man Bol Bol.

The 7-foot-3 standout delivered a dominant performance, leading all scorers with 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including five three-pointers. He also contributed three rebounds, two assists, and two blocks as the Suns cruised to a 125-108 victory, snapping a three-game skid and improving to 28-32.

When it came time for the postgame interview, Pflugrad made sure to level the playing field—literally—by standing on a small step ladder while speaking with Bol. The hilarious sight quickly gained attention online.

Now in his sixth NBA season, the 25-year-old Bol is averaging 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He is the son of the late Manute Bol, who, at 7-foot-7, shares the record as the tallest player in NBA history alongside Gheorghe Mureșan.

The younger Bol is among the league’s tallest active players, joining the likes of Victor Wembanyama (7-foot-3) and Zach Edey (7-foot-4).

Pflugrad, who attended the University of Oregon like Bol, clearly knew what she was doing and executed her assignment flawlessly.

Her innovative approach might be something other reporters take notes on—especially those who’ve had to interview towering players like Edey in the past.
