[Jolly Sports News] The reporter involved in last week’s shoving incident with 76ers star Joel Embiid isn’t losing his spot.
According to TMZ Sports, the Philly Inquirer has confirmed that columnist Marcus Hayes will stay on the 76ers beat. “No change,” said Evan Benn, the Inquirer’s Senior Director of Special Projects & Communications.
“He is an Inquirercolumnist covering Philadelphia sports, including the Sixers.”
Hayes, who was shoved by Embiid after a home game against the Grizzlies, had written a column referencing Embiid’s late brother, Arthur, and his son.
The NBA has since suspended Embiid for multiple games. The former MVP, sidelined by a knee injury, is expected to return soon for the 1-5 Sixers.
