[Jolly Sports News] Nick Young still can’t let go of his feud with D’Angelo Russell.
Russell, the former All-Star guard, was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday in a four-player deal that sent him to the Brooklyn Nets and brought Dorian Finney-Smith to Los Angeles.
Following the news, Young, Russell’s former Lakers teammate, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his reaction, taking a parting shot at Russell.
“AND STAY OUT… Don’t bring yo a– back to LA,” Young wrote, with the profanity edited for clarity.
The tension between Young and Russell dates back to their time as Lakers teammates from 2015-17. Their stint together was overshadowed by a notorious scandal in which Russell leaked a video exposing Young for cheating on his then-fiancée, rapper Iggy Azalea.
Now 39 and out of the league since 2018, Young has made it clear he still holds a grudge. Earlier this year, Young took additional jabs at Russell during an interview. With Russell being traded away from the Lakers for a second time, it’s apparent Young is pleased to see him leave Los Angeles once again—a city Young still calls home.
