[Jolly Sports News] Netflix is keeping the star power high with Season 2 of their NBA docuseries “Starting 5.”
On Tuesday, Netflix announced the new cast: Boston’s Jaylen Brown, Phoenix’s Kevin Durant, OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton, and the Clippers’ James Harden.
The series, executive-produced by Maverick Carter, Peyton Manning, and Barack and Michelle Obama, debuted on Oct. 9 to rave reviews.
Following the format of “Quarterback” and “Wide Receiver,” “Starting 5” documents five NBA players over a season.
Last season’s lineup included LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, and Domantas Sabonis. This season will spotlight two former MVPs (Durant and Harden), Finals MVP Brown, and rising stars Gilgeous-Alexander and Haliburton, promising plenty of on-court and off-court drama.
