[Jolly Sports News] The Denver Nuggets have had a slow start to the 2024-25 season, raising questions about the future of their core lineup.
Since winning the 2023 title, the Nuggets have struggled, including a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in last season’s Western Conference Semifinals.
This, combined with their current sluggish performance, has sparked speculation about potential changes to the roster around Nikola Jokic.
Forward Michael Porter Jr. hinted at the possibility, saying, “If we don’t win it this year, we all know they might have to break it up,” per ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
Even Jokic appears to recognize the team’s weaknesses. However, how the Nuggets could overhaul their core is uncertain, especially with Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon recently committing long-term to the team.
They may be tied to their current lineup, for better or worse.
