[Jolly Sports News] LeBron James has signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers featuring a notable clause.

James agreed to a two-year, $104 million maximum contract, including a player option for the second year and a no-trade clause, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This structure gives James significant leverage, allowing him to control his future with the team and ensuring he cannot be traded without his consent. This no-trade clause became particularly important after the Lakers drafted his son Bronny in the second round last week.

At 40, LeBron continues to perform at a high level, averaging 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds per game last season. If LeBron and Bronny play together next season, they will be the first father-son duo to do so in the NBA. Meanwhile, LeBron’s other son, Bryce, hinted at when he thinks his father might retire.
