[Jolly Sports News] A former Los Angeles Laker is set to become a new trivia favorite. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that guard Lonnie Walker IV is signing a one-year deal with the Boston Celtics in free agency.

Walker, a 2018 first-round pick by the San Antonio Spurs, gained attention with the Lakers in 2022-23, particularly during their playoff run. He was a standout in the 2023 conference finals, scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter of a crucial game against the Golden State Warriors.

After his time with the Lakers, Walker joined the Brooklyn Nets, where he averaged 9.7 points per game with 38.4 percent shooting from three last season. Now, he’s poised to bring his scoring ability off the bench for the defending champion Celtics, who could use his firepower as they start the new season.
