[Jolly Sports News] Even in the NBA offseason, New York Knicks fans couldn’t resist cursing Joel Embiid’s name.
At a live event for their podcast The Roommates Show, co-hosted by Knicks players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart in Central Park, fans broke out into a loud, impromptu chant targeting the Philadelphia 76ers star. The crowd erupted into a unified chorus of “F–k Embiid! F–k Embiid!”
The moment, shared on social media by the podcast’s official page, highlights Embiid’s unpopularity among Knicks fans, especially after some heated moments during their playoff matchup last season.
The Knicks won that series in six games, but Embiid and the 76ers will have a chance for revenge when they face off again on Nov. 12. Knicks fans, however, seem ready for the rivalry to continue.
