[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors cruised to a 126-102 win over the Dallas Mavericks, and Stephen Curry was having the time of his life.

He dropped 30 points, and in the third quarter, he drilled a three-pointer over P.J. Washington before hitting his signature “Night Night” celebration.

Klay Thompson, once an active participant in these moments, could only stare blankly from the bench.

The Warriors have looked like a rejuvenated squad since Jimmy Butler joined, while the Mavericks are battling through injuries to Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, and Derek Lively II. Despite the turbulence from the Luka Dončić trade, the team is trying to rally with a “next-man-up” mentality.

Kyrie Irving and Thompson have stepped up as backcourt leaders, helping the Mavs secure key wins despite their depleted frontcourt. Thompson has shown flashes of his vintage shooting, something the Mavericks will need if they want to stay competitive.

Despite the adversity, head coach Jason Kidd remains optimistic.

“Patience,” Kidd said via Joey Mistretta. “This group has grit, they’re competitive, and they’re making the most of their opportunities… It’s a great group to be around.”

The Mavericks are hoping that by the time their roster is fully healthy, they’ll still be in a strong position for a deep playoff run.
