[Jolly Sports News] Kevin Durant continues to carve out his legacy with the Phoenix Suns. After being traded to the team, he made an immediate impact, a rare feat for any franchise acquiring a generational talent.

In his second full season with the Suns, Durant reached a major milestone, becoming the 16th player in NBA history to record 10,000 made field goals. He and LeBron James are the only active players to hold that achievement.

Currently averaging 26.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game, Durant is shooting an impressive 53.4% from the field and 46.2% from three-point range, showcasing his trademark efficiency.

Remarkably, this comes nearly five years after suffering an Achilles tear, with Durant showing no signs of slowing down.

In Phoenix, he’s posted a career-best 42.6% from three on a career-high 5.4 attempts per game. Although primarily positioned as a power forward, this strategic shift has paid off, creating more space and allowing him to exploit mismatches effectively.

His scoring has been aided by plays that put him in advantageous positions, such as curls, floppy sets, and continuous off-ball screens.

Durant’s path toward becoming one of the all-time scoring leaders continues. While reaching the seventh-most points in NBA history might be out of reach this season, surpassing the 30,000-point mark is well within his grasp—potentially by the end of the year, or even November.
