[Jolly Sports News] Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton didn’t see any action during Team USA’s blowout win on Sunday, much to the amusement of many fans.
Both players logged significant minutes in Team USA’s exhibition games leading up to the Summer Olympics in Paris, but neither was part of head coach Steve Kerr’s rotation in the 110-84 victory over Serbia. Tatum’s absence was particularly surprising, and Kerr’s explanation didn’t clarify much.
Despite their absence, Team USA easily secured the win. It remains to be seen if Tatum and Haliburton will continue to be left out of the rotation in future games.
