[Jolly Sports News] Former Orlando Magic Summer League player Janis Timma has tragically passed away at the young age of 32, leaving the basketball world and his fans in shock and mourning.

According to reports, Timma died after falling from an apartment building in Moscow, Russia. Details surrounding the circumstances of his death remain unclear, but the incident has raised questions about what might have led to such a devastating loss.

Timma was a prominent figure in Latvian basketball, earning recognition as a four-time All-Star in the Latvian Basketball League. His career took off when he was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Although he never played in the NBA, his draft rights were traded to the Orlando Magic in 2015, where he began to explore opportunities in the United States.

In 2021, Timma joined the Orlando Magic’s Summer League team, showcasing his talent and versatility on the court. The following year, he signed with the team’s G League affiliate, continuing his professional basketball journey while bringing his international experience to the U.S. leagues.

Off the court, Timma’s personal life also attracted attention. He married Ukrainian singer Anna Sedokova in 2020, and the couple seemed to share a strong bond during the early years of their marriage. However, recent reports revealed that Sedokova had filed for divorce, which may have played a role in the events leading up to Timma’s tragic death.

Timma’s passing has left a profound impact on the basketball community and those who knew him personally. His contributions to the sport, both in Latvia and abroad, were widely recognized, and he leaves behind a legacy of hard work and determination. Fans and teammates are now left to grieve the loss of a talented athlete and individual gone far too soon.
