Doncic dominated as the best player on the floor when his Los Angeles Lakers faced Booker’s Phoenix Suns at Crypto.com Arena. The Slovenian star dropped 33 points on 8-of-20 shooting, adding 11 rebounds and 8 assists in a 107-96 Lakers win.
The game also delivered another cold moment in the Doncic-Booker rivalry, with a viral photo capturing Luka once again seeming to get the better of his longtime Suns adversary.
Booker dished out a game-high 11 assists but struggled from the field, shooting just 6-of-17 for 19 points in the 11-point loss.
The tension between the two dates back to the 2022 playoffs, when Doncic’s Mavericks took down Booker’s Suns in a heated seven-game series. That infamous Game 7 blowout also produced the iconic viral image of Doncic smirking at Booker.
Earlier this month, Booker seemed relieved when his Suns finally beat the Mavs for the first time since Dallas moved on from Doncic. But despite the jersey change, the rivalry remains as fiery as ever.
