[Jolly Sports News] Despite the Philadelphia 76ers apparently dropping out of contention, Paul George might still find a new home within the Atlantic Division.

Veteran NBA journalist Marc Stein reported on Substack that the New York Knicks are emerging as potential trade suitors for the LA Clippers’ star. The Knicks, lacking the cap space to sign George directly as a free agent, could become involved if George opts into his $48.8 million player option for next season to facilitate a trade, Stein suggests.

The Knicks, who were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Indiana Pacers, would be an apt destination for the 34-year-old, nine-time All-Star. George’s connection to the Creative Arts Agency (CAA), which once included Knicks president Leon Rose and executive vice president William Wesley as leaders, adds a layer of suitability.

Although the Knicks parted with some valuable assets to acquire OG Anunoby recently, they still possess a range of trade pieces. This includes a talented player they have reportedly been shopping, which could be used to entice the Clippers in a deal for George.
