[Jolly Sports News] Cleveland Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett has made it clear he wants the team to prioritize winning if they hope to keep him around long-term. His recent remarks may have been shaped by advice from another Cleveland sports icon.

Garrett revealed on Friday that he has been seeking guidance from LeBron James about vocal leadership and using his platform effectively. The defensive standout credited James for inspiring him to speak out in a way that benefits both himself and the team.

“He’s seen everything on the sports side of it. His advice has been very valuable,” Garrett said. “Him, his team, just being able to be around them and learn from them… Definitely using my platform, using my voice to my benefit and my team’s benefit.”

Garrett and James have been offseason workout partners for some time, so their connection is not new. However, it seems likely that Garrett has discussed his frustrations with the Browns’ organizational direction during their conversations. James, known for his willingness to publicly hold his teams accountable, may have influenced Garrett’s decision to voice his concerns.

While James famously left Cleveland twice—albeit delivering a championship before his second departure—Browns fans are undoubtedly hoping Garrett won’t follow the same path. Regardless of James’ influence, Garrett’s push for accountability underscores his desire to see the team match his commitment to success.
