So Converge acquired Heddin in a trade that sent defenders Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar and a first-round pick in the ’51 season to Terrafirma Dyip.

Huddin was selected by Terrafirma in the ’47 Gilas special draft, but he never played for Dyip. Instead, the Philippines-Australian, known for his outside shooting, took his talents overseas, playing in Japan, Taiwan and Australia.

The addition of Heeding, along with upcoming No. 51 rookie Justine Baltazar, who will join Converge after the MPBL season at Pampanga, will add depth to FiberXers. The team had just managed to qualify for the playoffs in the just concluded Governors’ Cup.

The former Gilas Pilipinas player played for NBL1 Australian side West Adelaide Bearcats last season, averaging 15.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
