[Jolly Sports News] Caitlin Clark won the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, but not without some controversy.
She received 66 out of 67 votes, with one vote going to Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese, which denied Clark a unanimous win.
Clark claimed Rookie of the Month honors in four out of five months, played all 40 games, and led all rookies in points, assists, steals, and minutes. She also helped the Indiana Fever reach the playoffs, while the Sky regressed from last season.
Despite 98.5% of voters backing Clark, one unidentified voter chose Reese. Maybe it was a Nike employee who voted for Reese.
