[Saba Sports News] Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future with the Milwaukee Bucks remains a topic of speculation, but one local writer is offering a strong prediction.
Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that, according to his sources, Antetokounmpo has no plans to leave Milwaukee — a stance that remains unchanged despite the team’s early playoff exit.
Owczarski doubled down on social media, asserting that not only will Giannis not be traded this offseason, but the expectation is that he will spend his entire career with the Bucks.
This comes in response to recent reports hinting that Antetokounmpo may be open to exploring opportunities outside Milwaukee for the first time. Still, there’s been no concrete indication he’s pushing for a move, and the Bucks hold control of his contract through the 2026-27 season, with a $62.8 million player option in 2027-28.
Even if Giannis is keeping his options open, Owczarski’s sources suggest a departure isn’t on the horizon — and certainly not this summer.
