[Jolly Sports News] Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards exuded immense confidence after his team’s Game 7 victory over the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, propelling them to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in two decades.
Despite not delivering his best performance on the court that Sunday, Edwards was energetically engaged in trash talk during and after the game. As he was leaving the venue, Edwards had a noteworthy interaction with Timberwolves fans, where he made a comment likely to irk Nuggets guard Jamal Murray. “I had Jamal [Murray] in handcuffs,” Edwards claimed, despite Murray scoring a game-high 35 points, significantly overshadowing Edwards’ 16.
The crucial figure, however, was the final score, with the Timberwolves edging out a 98-90 victory. Edwards didn’t stop with his on-court opponents; he also had a sharp remark for TNT analyst Charles Barkley, who seemed less than thrilled about visiting Minneapolis.
