[Jolly Sports News] New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram is the latest player to switch agents. According to Will Guillory of The Athletic, Ingram has parted ways with Excel Sports and is seeking new representation.

The 27-year-old forward, a one-time NBA All-Star, is having another strong season, leading the Pelicans with 22.9 points per game while also averaging 5.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists.

However, he’s in the final year of his contract and did not secure an extension with New Orleans during the offseason. This positions him as an unrestricted free agent next summer unless the Pelicans extend him before June 30.

With no deal in place, the team could explore trading Ingram before February’s deadline, especially given the growing list of potential suitors.

The timing of this agent switch is also interesting, coming shortly after one of his All-Star teammates made a similar move.
