[Jolly Sports News] Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic recently shared the amusing reason behind his decision to stop wearing his wedding ring on his shoe, a unique tradition that once caught fans’ attention. Speaking on the DNVR Podcast, the three-time MVP revealed:

“They fall off,” Jokic said. “Funny story. I lost my ring, and my wife gave me another one, and I lost it that day. So, I think I’m not going to use that little part. I am sad, but yeah, I lost the ring.”

Jokic’s honesty shed light on the practical side of his decision, as the sentimental gesture proved risky during the high-energy, physical pace of professional basketball.

While the wedding ring tradition is no more, Jokic’s dominance on the court continues. This season, he’s delivering incredible numbers, averaging 29.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, with shooting splits of 56.2% from the field and 50.8% from beyond the arc.

Off the court, Jokic recently hit another milestone by launching his first signature shoe with Chinese sportswear brand 361°, titled Disrupting The Game. The release highlights his rising influence both within the NBA and internationally.

Despite Jokic’s brilliance, the Nuggets have had a rocky start to the season. After a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver dropped to 10-7 and now faces a crucial game against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Cup.

With a slim +2 point differential and a 1-2 record in West Group C, the Nuggets still have a shot at a wild card spot.

As the Nuggets push to regain their footing, Jokic remains the heart of the team, balancing elite play with off-court ventures that continue to elevate his global presence.
