His stat line explained why: in the Pacers’ 123-98 loss at Madison Square Garden, Haliburton missed all eight of his shots, including seven from beyond the arc, finishing with one rebound, five assists, and one steal but no points.
Fans on X roasted Haliburton for his scoreless game, his first in a Pacers uniform. Knicks offseason addition Mikal Bridges locked down Haliburton, while Tom Thibodeau’s squad amped up their defense after a tough opening night loss to Boston.
This game was personal for Knicks fans; Haliburton had trash-talked them during Indiana’s playoff win over New York last May. Knicks fans were more than pleased to see him struggle.
