[Jolly Sports News] Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young delivered an unforgettable game-winner Tuesday night against the Utah Jazz.

With 2.9 seconds left in a tied game at 121, Jazz guard Collin Sexton had just drained a clutch three-pointer to seemingly force overtime at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Hawks, out of timeouts, faced slim odds—but Young had other plans.

Taking the inbounds pass, the All-Star guard took two dribbles toward halfcourt and pulled up for a 49-foot bomb right over Sexton. You already know the rest: nothing but net.

While NBA players often practice deep shots, hitting one with the game on the line in front of thousands of opposing fans is an entirely different feat.

Young’s heroics capped off a phenomenal night, where he recorded 24 points and 20 assists despite shooting just 6/16 from the field and 2/9 from three before the final dagger. The buzzer-beater not only secured the Hawks’ 124-121 victory but also snapped their three-game losing streak and pushed them back above .500.

The thrilling finish overshadowed a 35-point performance from Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen, who tied his season high in the losing effort. Utah’s struggles at home continued, with their streak of consecutive home losses now extended to eight. Of the Jazz’s nine wins this season, only two have come on their home court.

Trae Young’s clutch masterpiece will undoubtedly be one of the season’s most iconic moments.
