That’s the backdrop for Tropang Giga’s rematch with Kinnimbula in the PBA Governor’s Cup final, where TNT will be looking to build on its 2-0 lead on Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and his teammates put together a strong offensive and defensive performance to put Kinnybulla in a difficult position, 104-88, on Sunday at the Yannales Sports Center in Antipolo.
“We are aware of Kinnimbula’s strengths, so we are focused on suppressing their strengths and making sure we take advantage of our strengths, which is our ability to defend and block our opponents’ attacks,” noted head coach Chot Reyes.
The opening game will come down to which team can control the pace of the game, and that mentality will carry over to the second leg, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in the Big Dome.
