[Saba Sports News] Wednesday’s matchup between the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns briefly turned into a heavyweight showdown.

During the second quarter, Rockets big man Steven Adams and Suns center Mason Plumlee got tangled while battling for position on a shot attempt. As they locked arms, Plumlee gave Adams a shove to break free, but Adams held on, leading to both players crashing to the floor—where the wrestling match continued.

It took some time for officials and teammates to separate the two, and after a lengthy review, both Adams and Plumlee were ejected from the game.

With Adams standing at 6-foot-11, 265 pounds, and Plumlee at 6-foot-10, 254 pounds, their collision might have left a dent in the hardwood. However, given their current roles as veteran role players, their ejections had little impact on the outcome. The Rockets ultimately secured a 111-104 victory over the Suns.

Now, the focus shifts to whether the NBA will issue further discipline. Houston has already been involved in another physical altercation earlier this season that led to multiple suspensions, so it remains to be seen if the league will take additional action against Adams and Plumlee.
