[Jolly Sports News] With the NBA trade deadline approaching, the Golden State Warriors are expected to make roster moves to bolster their playoff chances.

Sitting at 24-23 past the halfway mark of the 2024-25 season, the Warriors have struggled to find consistency, failing to win three straight games since early November. As things stand, they appear destined for another play-in tournament appearance unless significant changes are made.

Head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the team’s shortcomings when asked if they have enough talent to compete in the playoffs.

“Oh, we do. I think we’ve shown that. But we’ve also shown that we don’t have enough to separate ourselves from the rest of the West,” Kerr admitted.

“I think the point is that we’re not in a position where we can say, ‘Nah, we’re good. Let’s stand pat.’ That’s the reality of where we are.”

Kerr also noted that general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has been “doing his due diligence” to find reinforcements for Steph Curry before the deadline.

The Warriors brought in veterans like Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, and De’Anthony Melton in the offseason, but results have been mixed.

While Melton initially looked like a great fit next to Curry, a season-ending injury led to his departure. Hield and Anderson, meanwhile, have struggled to make a significant impact.

Despite speculation, Jimmy Butler is reportedly not on Golden State’s radar. However, the Warriors have been linked to several All-Stars in recent weeks as they weigh their options for a much-needed shake-up.
