[Saba Sports News] LeBron James is making progress in his recovery from the groin strain he suffered earlier this month.
James injured his groin during the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers’ March 8 game against the Boston Celtics.
After a couple of spin moves in the paint, he banked in a shot but immediately appeared hurt and was pulled from the game. Initially labeled as day-to-day, LeBron has since missed the Lakers’ last four games as he works to get back to full health.
Reports suggest that James is moving in the right direction and could return before the end of the month. NBA reporter Shams Charania revealed that James participated in his first on-court workout over the weekend since the injury.
The Lakers plan to be cautious with James’ return, with the expectation that he will miss at least another week while the team monitors how his body responds to increased activity.
The Lakers have struggled in LeBron’s absence, going 1-3, with their only win being a 107-96 victory over the Phoenix Suns. As for the Suns, they may have felt some extra heat from Luka Doncic, who not only dominated them but also took a savage shot at them while mic’d up.
