[Jolly Sports News] The Toronto Raptors face a challenging few weeks ahead.
On Wednesday, the team announced that Scottie Barnes will be out for at least three weeks due to a right orbital fracture.
Barnes was injured after taking a forearm/elbow to the face from Nikola Jokic while fighting for a rebound in the final minute of the Raptors’ 127-125 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
He exited the game in visible pain after leading his team with 21 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, and 5 steals.
Now in his fourth NBA season, Barnes, the 2021 Rookie of the Year and recent All-Star, will miss 11 games over the next three weeks. The Raptors are currently 1-3 this season.
