[Saba Sports News] Philadelphia 76ers wing Paul George made a major announcement about his podcast on Wednesday, and NBA fans had a field day with it.

George revealed that he is pausing new episodes of *Podcast P* for the remainder of the NBA season, citing his focus on getting his body and mind right to help the Sixers make a push for a championship.

“I want to let the ‘Podcast P’ family know that after today’s episode with Dwight, I plan to take a break from the pod just to focus on getting my body right, getting mentally right, and helping this squad make a push towards our goal,” George said.

However, the internet was not convinced. Fans immediately mocked the announcement, pointing out that with the Sixers sitting at 20-37, their title hopes were long gone.

Many also questioned why George was only now prioritizing his health and focus, suggesting that if the podcast was a distraction, he should have hit pause months ago.

The timing of the announcement also raised eyebrows, especially after a podcast-related stat recently went viral, putting George in a negative light.

Meanwhile, the Sixers’ season has been a disaster—Joel Embiid has struggled to stay healthy, and George himself has been limited to 38 games due to injuries. His scoring average has dropped to 16.2 points per game, well below his career norm.

Though technically just 2.5 games out of the final play-in spot, few believe Philadelphia is a legitimate contender at this point—except, perhaps, Paul George himself.
