[Jolly Sports News] Mac McClung, best known for his Slam Dunk Contest heroics, is getting a shot on an NBA roster.
The Orlando Magic are converting McClung’s contract into a two-way deal, meaning he’ll be with the team to start the 2024-25 season, per Shams Charania of ESPN. After signing a partially guaranteed deal for training camp, McClung has successfully made the roster this year, unlike last season.
Though McClung has only appeared in four NBA games, he shined in the G League last season, earning MVP honors while averaging 25.2 points per game. While his role with the Magic may be limited, his two-way contract gives him the chance to prove himself, with the possibility of returning to the G League later.
