[Jolly Sports News] LiAngelo Ball is making waves in a new arena. On Tuesday, Rolling Loud officially revealed its 2025 lineup, announcing that the festival—set to take place in Los Angeles—will feature Ball as one of its performers.
Now 26, Ball has pivoted from basketball to music, rapping under the name “Gelo” or “G3.” His latest single, “Tweaker,” has gone viral, captivating listeners with its catchy early-2000s-style production. The song’s memorable lyrics—such as “I might swerve bend that corner woah”—have been quoted widely on social media, further fueling its popularity.
Ball’s track has also become a favorite in pro sports locker rooms. The NBA’s Chicago Bulls, home to his brother Lonzo, and the NFL’s Detroit Lions, who celebrated their NFC No. 1 seed by blasting the song, are among the teams embracing the anthem.
Though Ball’s basketball career never reached the NBA beyond stints in the G League and Summer League, his rap career has quickly gained momentum.
Joining Rolling Loud’s prestigious lineup puts him in the company of other athletes-turned-musicians, like Antonio Brown, who performed at the festival years ago.
With his music taking off and a major festival appearance on the horizon, 2025 is looking like the year LiAngelo Ball cements his place in the spotlight—this time, on stage rather than on the court.
