[Jolly Sports News] More good news for the 3-1 Lakers: Center Christian Koloko has been cleared to return by the NBA’s fitness-to-play panel, according to reports.

This approval allows Koloko to start practicing with the Lakers, with a return to game action now on the horizon.

Koloko, a seven-footer and the No. 33 pick in the 2022 Draft, played his rookie season with the Raptors, averaging 3.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks.

However, he missed the entire 2023-24 season due to a blood clot issue, initially labeled as a “respiratory issue.”

After being waived by Toronto, the Lakers signed him on a two-way deal this offseason.

Koloko hasn’t played since April 2023, so a full return will take time. But his clearance is great news for both him and the Lakers, who have been exploring options to strengthen their frontcourt.
