[Jolly Sports News] Kevin Durant had a lively reaction both online and in person after Jahmyr Gibbs replicated his signature dance during Saturday’s NFC Divisional Round playoff game between the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders at Ford Field.
Gibbs celebrated a 1-yard touchdown in the first quarter by performing a dance Durant famously did before Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals, a game where Durant suffered an injury and his Golden State Warriors fell to the Toronto Raptors.
Durant quickly chimed in on X, saying, “I’m already sick of [Jahmyr Gibbs],” in response to the viral video comparing the two dances.
Unlike Durant’s bittersweet memory of the dance, Saturday ended on a high note for him. His Commanders pulled off a shocking 45-31 win over the Lions. Durant rubbed it in with another post on X, sharing a clip of his dance and adding, “Have a great night Detroit.”
