[Saba Sports News] Two of the most iconic NBA players of Asian descent reunited for a viral photo over the weekend.
Former NBA guard Jeremy Lin shared a snapshot on Instagram of himself standing next to Hall of Famer Yao Ming at NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco.
The towering 7-foot-6 Yao, who played in the NBA from 2002 to 2011 before injuries cut his career short, made Lin—who stands at 6-foot-3—look tiny in comparison.
Yao, an eight-time All-Star and five-time All-NBA selection, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016 for his impact on both the NBA and Chinese basketball. Lin, of Taiwanese descent, played in the league from 2010 to 2019, including a stint with Yao’s former team, the Houston Rockets, before continuing his career in China and Taiwan.
Fans couldn’t help but marvel at the drastic height difference, with some recalling another time Yao made an NBA guard look miniature in a now-iconic photo.
