[Jolly Sports News] Jaylen Brown and Amile Jefferson are the latest professional sports figures to fall victim to home burglaries.

According to Tiffany Chan of WBZ News in Boston, Brown’s Wellesley home was burglarized Sunday night while the Celtics were on the road playing the Washington Wizards. Brown’s mother was reportedly present at the property during the incident but was unharmed.

On the same night, Celtics assistant coach Amile Jefferson’s home in Newton, just six miles away, was also burglarized. The thieves reportedly stole Jefferson’s 2024 NBA championship ring. Authorities are investigating whether the two break-ins are connected.

These incidents add Brown and Jefferson to a growing list of pro athletes targeted while away for games. In recent months, NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, and Linval Joseph, as well as NBA players Mike Conley and Bobby Portis, have faced similar situations.

In November, the NFL issued a security alert warning teams and players of skilled criminals potentially tied to a South American crime syndicate. As a result, many pro athletes are now on high alert, including an NFL quarterback who recently issued a stern warning to anyone considering targeting his home.
