[Jolly Sports News] Ja Morant added another jaw-dropping highlight to his season on Monday.
With the Memphis Grizzlies trailing the Brooklyn Nets 57-56 early in the third quarter, Morant led a fast break. Taking a give-and-go pass from Jaren Jackson Jr., Morant cut into the lane, spun 360 degrees around Cam Johnson, and finished with an acrobatic layup. The slow-motion replay made the play look even more spectacular.
For most players, this 360 layup would top their career highlights, but it wasn’t even Morant’s first of the night—he’d pulled a similar move just before halftime. He finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists on 10/22 shooting, though the Grizzlies narrowly lost 106-104.
After seasons marred by suspensions and off-court issues, Morant’s electric start to 2024-25 has reminded fans of his immense talent.
