[Jolly Sports News] Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox addressed rumors Monday regarding his alleged involvement in the firing of head coach Mike Brown.

Fox has been implicated in reports suggesting he played a role in Brown’s dismissal, with claims that the two had a strained relationship.

Former NBA guard Lou Williams recently added fuel to the speculation during an appearance on FanDuel’s Run It Back, stating he’d heard there was “pushback” after Brown supposedly called out Fox both publicly and privately. According to Williams, this allegedly forced the Kings to choose between supporting Brown or siding with their star player.

Fox took to X (formerly Twitter) to deny the allegations, calling the narrative completely false.

“There was never any pushback about anything. This narrative of us butting heads or me going to management saying anything is bulls–t. So you can run with that if you want to,” Fox wrote, censoring profanity in his post.

The controversy surrounding Brown’s firing has largely stemmed from how the Kings handled the situation, rather than the team’s on-court performance.

While Fox and Brown may not have always seen eye to eye, Fox’s career-high 26.3 points per game this season indicate his performance thrived under Brown’s leadership.

Despite Fox’s denial, the star guard continues to face criticism from those who feel Brown’s firing was unjust. For now, Fox remains focused on proving his value on the court as the Kings navigate the aftermath of the coaching change.
