[Jolly Sports News] Bronny James’ start with the Los Angeles Lakers might not have been ideal, but his G League run with the South Bay Lakers is off to a hot start.

On Thursday night, James scored a career-high 30 points during his road debut for South Bay, and while he followed it up with a 16-point performance in Friday’s 102-91 loss, he still managed to wow fans with a highlight-worthy “And-1.” Along with his 16 points, he added two assists, two rebounds, and a steal.

Since recovering from a left heel bone bruise that sidelined him for weeks, Bronny has been on fire, averaging 20.7 points over his last three games. His strong performances may soon warrant a call-up to the Lakers.

South Bay’s next game isn’t until December 27 against the Cleveland Charge, and with LeBron James currently away from the Lakers for undisclosed reasons, a return to the NBA roster for Bronny might not be immediate.

For now, though, Bronny is thriving, hitting circus shots, and proving that talent runs in the family.
