[Saba Sports News] Bronny James is starting to handle his own battles.
A video went viral over the weekend showing the Lakers rookie clapping back at a heckler during Friday’s game against the Nuggets in Denver. As play was stopped, a fan in the crowd took a jab at Bronny and his father, LeBron James. Without missing a beat, Bronny responded with, “Your chain fake.”
The 20-year-old rookie hasn’t seen much playing time or production lately, but he made the most of his minutes in Denver, scoring five points in 16 minutes, including a three-pointer over three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
Despite a strong effort, the Lakers fell to the Nuggets 131-126. Meanwhile, tensions carried over into the concourse, where opposing fans got into a heated brawl.
Bronny has been in the spotlight recently, especially after LeBron confronted ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith over comments about his son. With LeBron staying back in L.A. to rehab his groin injury, Bronny took matters into his own hands—both on the court and with hecklers.
