[Jolly Sports News] Three-time NBA champion Danny Green has decided to retire.
The veteran swingman announced the news on his podcast Thursday morning and later shared a message on social media, expressing gratitude to his “friends, family, coaches, and teammates from high school, college, and the pros.”
Green is one of only four players to win titles with three different teams: the San Antonio Spurs (2014), Toronto Raptors (2019), and Los Angeles Lakers (2020).
Renowned for his three-point shooting and leadership, the 37-year-old finishes his career with averages of 8.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a 40% shooting mark from beyond the arc over 832 games.
Green spent most of his 15-year career with the Spurs and even earned NBA All-Defensive Team honors in 2017.
