[Saba Sports News] All three players were hit with technical fouls following the altercation. Because two Knicks players were assessed techs, the Pistons were awarded a free throw—though Cade Cunningham was unable to convert.

Thursday’s matchup held major significance for Detroit. It marked their first postseason appearance since the 2018-2019 season, making Game 3 their first home playoff game in six years. With the series tied 1-1, energy was high both on the court and in the stands.

The scuffle between Paul Reed and Mitchell Robinson broke out late in the first quarter at Little Caesars Arena. With 51.8 seconds left and the Knicks leading 30-27, play was paused after New York lost the ball out of bounds and Karl-Anthony Towns was subbing in.

During the break, Reed and Robinson began exchanging shoves, escalating quickly. Towns joined the fray by pushing Reed as well, prompting officials to issue technicals to all three players.
