Pacers Player Just Unleashed the Worst Shot of the Season

[Saba Sports News] The Indiana Pacers lit up the scoreboard with a 162-109 demolition of the Washington Wizards on Thursday. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, including a ridiculous 27 made three-pointers in regulation.

But one shot in particular might go down as the most unforgettable lowlight of the season.

Enter Tony Bradley.

Currently on a 10-day contract, the Pacers big man attempted a corner three in the fourth quarter that was so wildly off-target, it nearly set basketball back 50 years.

With Indiana up by 52 and the outcome long decided, Bradley caught a pass from Aaron Nesmith and let it fly. What followed was a disaster: the shot clanged off the ‘outside’ of the backboard with a loud thud, veering out of bounds and nearly knocking over a cameraman.

To call it a “miss” would be generous—it looked more like a glitch in a video game. It was the kind of shot you expect from a YMCA 8U league, not an NBA veteran. If the state of Indiana had revoked his basketball privileges on the spot, no one would’ve blamed them.

In Bradley’s defense, the game was already well in hand at 152-100, and he couldn’t have hurt the team even if he’d tried to dunk with a bowling ball. Oddly enough, Bradley is a career 48.4% shooter from deep—though on an extremely low number of attempts.

The 27-year-old still finished with a solid eight points in nine minutes, and the Pacers coasted to one of the most lopsided wins of the season. But that shot? It’s probably headed straight for Shaqtin’ A Fool history.
